Food and beauty stylist Alison Attenborough to share some of her favorite healthy cocktail recipes.
Golden Spiced Sunrise
1 cup fresh ginger tumeric tea
TEA: 1/2-inch piece of ginger, 3 thin slices of fresh turmeric (or add 1/2 tsp dried turmeric powder) cut into thin rings and brought to a boil with 3 cups water
Simmer for 10 minutes, strain into a beaker, save the other cup for tea in the morning when you wake up.
Add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar for morning sunrise tonic - drink hot or cold.
Pour tea in a heatproof glass or mug
Add juice of a half lemon
1 tablespoon of honey
a pinch of cayenne
You can add in a micro dose of CBD oil here is you'd like for a deeper sleep.
Summer Mexican Papaya Lime Chili Fruit Smash
1/3 cup papaya cut into 1/4 inch dices
Juice of 1/2 lime
3 basil leaves
Pinch chilli powder or 1/2 tsp finely diced
2 tsp raw honey
1/2 cup of crushed or regular ice cubes
1/2 cup seltzer or soda water
Muddle top 5 ingredients in a glass.
Stir in crushed ice add in soda water and stir.
Add mezcal if you like
